Crystal Energy Junkie Series: 3 exercises to connect to crystals

In the first part of the Crystal Energy Junkie Series we looked at 9 steps to connect with crystals. If you missed it you can check it out HERE, it’s well worth a look. We looked at how to sense and feel our own energy in preparation for feeling the energy of crystals.

In part 2 of this series, we’re going to take this a little further and look at 3 practical exercises we can do to physically feel the energy coming from our crystals.

 

The Exercises

There are 3 exercises that we are going to look at, all of which can be seen in the video at the top of this post. Sometimes it helps to see these in action so please take a look at it if the following feels a little abstract to follow in written form.

 

Preparation

Before doing the 3 exercises below I’d like you to make sure that you won’t be disturbed whilst connecting to your crystals. Get yourself into a relaxed state, centre yourself and connect to your energy. If you need a reminder on how to do this take a look at the Crystal Junkie Series Part 1.

 

Exercise 1 – Using a Clear Quartz Point

  1. Take a clear quartz point (or wand if you prefer) in your dominant hand and hold it with the point facing outwards.
  2. Imagine a beam of white light entering the bottom of the crystal and travelling through and out of the point of the crystal.
  3. Hold the crystal point like a pen, with the point so it faces the palm of your non-dominant hand. Keep it at a distance of approximately 10cm to begin with and adjust it accordingly as you progress through the exercise.
  4. Move the point over your palm and really tune into the energy. If you are in a relaxed and centred frame of mind you should start to feel the energy coming out of the point and drawing on your palm

 

Need extra help?

Sometimes for a number of reasons people can struggle to feel the crystal’s energy. It’s nothing to be concerned about. Here’s a little tip which may just help you feel the energy better.

  1. Take a clear quartz point (or wand if you prefer) in your dominant hand and hold it with the point facing outwards.
  2. Sit quietly with your eyes closed, take a couple of deep breaths to centre yourself and start to visualise energy entering from above, down into your Crown Chakra (at the top of your head), down through your higher chakras and into your arms and hands. Then visualise it coming out through the point of your crystal.
  3. Remain seated with this image for a couple of minutes.
  4. With the image of the healing energy firmly in your mind and keeping your eyes closed, start directing the crystal point and its energy to your non-dominant palm as we did in the exercise above.

 

Exercise 2 – Using a crystal on your Crown Chakra

This is a very simple but powerful way of sensing the energy of your crystal. You can choose any crystal you wish but if you are new to crystal healing I would recommend that you use a crystal such as clear quartz.

  1. Sit or lay down in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
  2. Place your crystal on your Crown Chakra at the top of your head if you are seated, or pointed at the top of your head if you are laid down.
  3. Visualise the energy of the crystal flowing down into your Crown Chakra.
  4. Pay attention to the physical feelings that you can sense at your Crown Chakra, and throughout the rest of your body. You should start to feel the energy coming from the point of the crystal.
  5. Do this exercise for at least 5 minutes and be patient with yourself when sensing the energy.
  6. After 5 minutes make sure that you are fully back in the room and grounded before you stand up.

 

Exercise 3 – Sensing the energy of different coloured crystals

Once you have experienced sensing your own energy field and have tried the exercises above, we can take this a step further. A real fun exercise to carry out with crystals is to sense the energetic differences of different colours of the same stone.

Calcite is a great stone to experiment with as there are many different colour variations, for example:

  • Black
  • Blue
  • Clear
  • Gold / Yellow / Honey
  • Optical
  • Orange
  • Pink / Mangano
  • Red
  • Rhomboid

To name just a few.

 

The Steps

  1. Make sure that you are sitting quietly, relaxed, feeling centred and connected to your own energy.
  2. Choose your coloured crystal and place it in your non-dominant hand or place it on top of your head close to your Crown Chakra.
  3. Pay attention to how it makes you feel physically, emotionally and mentally. Note where in your body you sense these feelings. Do this for as long as you wish.
  4. Make a note of your experiences with the crystal. Take the crystal and place it away from you so you are less likely to pick up on its energy.
  5. Take another crystal and repeat the steps below.
